Please note that NO entries are taken on race day...or indeed after close of entries. Please don't even ask as refusal often offends!

Relay Type Team entries (one athlete, one leg of the event) are also warmly welcomed! Team Racing is a great way to put a foot in the water for triathlon (or a foot in the pedal or the running shoe too!). Teams may comprise three persons or indeed two persons (where one person can do two legs of the event), and teams are set in three categories, Mixed Gender, All Female and All Male.

Note that winning teams in each category will be recognised. If there are more than five (5) entries per category then we'll recognise second and third too!

NOTE: In 2009 and 2010 Registration & Race kit pick up for all entries opens at 5:15am each race day for a 7:00am event start.

That's 15 minutes more to get organised, check out the Kurnell Expo and a little more time for us to register you carefully and accurately.

Please be aware that major parking restrictions effect these races.

Please arrive early, and be patient as you find parking...

PLEASE try to car pool; and remember there's major parking available at Shark Park, as the Botany Bay National Park has very few parking areas and less so if the weather is wet.  Look for a special prize each race for those riding into the venue...

Council and Park Rangers will patrol all Kurnell streets to book any one parking in the wrong place...

Remember if parking issues of old re-surface, triathlon could lose this venue for ever!

Triathlon NSW extends a warm invitation to you and all your mates to become part of the Tri Shave Sydney Triathlon Series at Kurnell, the longest running series in NSW and the ideal start up for anyone looking to "try a tri".

For all those athletes who have supported the rejuvenated Series in recent seasons, we thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you and a mate at the first event of four races in the newly expanded series for the new season.

The Sydney Triathlon Series events will once again become a firm favourite with Sydney's multisport and triathlon athletes and their underlying mission is to provide for both beginners and the experience athletes in the sport of triathlon.

We look forward to providing a safe, friendly atmosphere in which tyro triathletes can experience the fun, frivolity, camaraderie and competitiveness of triathlon racing in a sensational atmosphere racing shoulder to shoulder with those who may be veterans of many a season of triathlon racing.

TNSW, in conjunction with naming sponsor Tri Shave, the National Parks and Wildlife Service, the community of Kurnell, and our other great commercial supporters, will once again host this long-standing tri series, with four races once again included for this new season. The four (4) race series will be staged in the safe waters of Botany Bay, and over roads and trails surrounding the Botany Bay National Park. Local Authorities limit event numbers for safety reasons, and so entry is available exclusively to Triathlon Australia members but note non-members may also compete.

The event is centred on the grassy area adjacent to the National Parks Discovery Centre approximately 900 metres into the park with major parking on the 'old cricket pitch' grounds (look for the parking attendants...)

Triathletes will be able to compete in either the traditional individual categories, or with a group of one or two friends, as a 'team entry' in a 'true' sprint distance 750m Swim, 20Km Cycle, 5km Run triathlon.

Kurnell remains the favourite races for the state's top juniors and triathletes or all ages, and maintains this proud tradition. However, racing at Kurnell also remains an ideal introduction to triathlon for beginners, and is extremely popular event for seasoned triathletes as well. Don't be surprised to see a few elite and pro athletes drop in to race each event and we could also be joined by the state's top Juniors, depending on their race programs.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL PRO TOUR RACERS - YOU MUST ENTER THROUGH THE TNSW PRO TOUR SERIES ENTRY FORMS ONLY, OR YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF RACING IN THE AGE GROUP NON-DRAFTING EVENT. THE TWO SERIES ARE SEPARATE ENTITIES - WITH SEPARATE ENTRY FORMS - PLEASE GO TO THE TNSW PRO TOUR SITE FOR THE PRO TOUR ON-LINE ENTRY FORM!

We hope everyone enjoys the Kurnell experience once again and we look forward to introducing a whole new bunch of triathletes to our sport in a unique atmosphere where you can rub shoulders with the old, bold and even the pros of our sport in one totally unique morning of racing. And remember, stick around for the presentation for great Lucky Draw prizes, and awards for all the podium place getters too.

Safe Training, fast racing
